FASHION DESIGN
Our Fashion Design course provides practical knowledge about this profession.
The teachers in our School are working professionals who are eager to share the information they have and their knowledge in a field of a given specialization. Apart from learning the classic art subjects which are required for a given profession, students also attend lessons during which, just like in the famous St. Martin's School of Art in London, they find out how to design clothes which best suit the needs of the fashion market. They are also taught how to develop a strategy, plan manufacturing activities and market fashion designs.
Before taking their Fashion and Costume Design diploma exam, all students are obliged to undergo an internship in a company that will be assigned to them. Moreover, students also develop their knowledge by taking part in fashion fairs in Poland and abroad and by monitoring the cultural events.
The course lasts 2.5 years.
Modes: full-time and extramural.

COSTUME DESIGN
Almost all candidates ask what is the difference between being a costume designer and being a fashion designer.
A fashion designer is a person who produces clothes from the very beginning and has some specific technical knowledge. A costume designer, however, creates new clothes using products which are already available on the market, and does so according to the expectations of a theatre director or a photographer. Designing fashion is a slightly more individual activity, while a costume designer usually works in a team. A fashion designer manages his/her time him/herself, while a costume designer works according to the general schedule of a theatre, film or some other. Both courses share the same art subjects and English lessons throughout the first year. Following the summer holiday, subjects vary depending on a chosen specialization.
Duration of course: 2.5 years
Modes: full-time and extramural
